By installing the Cortex Chrome extension or using the Cortex web application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Cortex is a Chrome extension and web application that provides tools for organizing, searching, and exporting AI chatbot conversations. Features include cloud sync, a prompt library, folders, tags, and team workspaces (collectively, the “Service”).
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You must provide accurate information when registering.

The Cortex software, trademarks, and branding are owned by Cortex and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of all content you create or save using the Service.
Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis via Stripe. You can cancel at any time; your access continues until the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial periods unless required by law.
Free trial periods are offered at our discretion and are limited to one per account.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CORTEX SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PRECEDING 12 MONTHS.
We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these terms. You may delete your account at any time from your dashboard settings.
We may update these terms with 30 days' notice via email or in-app notification. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles.
